All About Jag Bags
To answer the questions we're often asked about Jag Bags, we've put together this brief FAQ section. Here you'll be able to read about the origins of Jag Bags, care of silk and much more. If you'd like any more information or advice please contact us on info@terrevista.co.uk and we'll be pleased to help. Despite being based in Scotland, Paul was keen that Jag Bags were still made in their country of origin, New Zealand - and this is still the case today. Jag Bags are still made in New Zealand by the original team from the same high quality silk, sourced from China. The main change is that all dying is now carried out in Scotland.
Q: Should I choose Endura or Fine Silk? Most of our our Jag Bags are now offered only in Endura silk as we believe it gives a better performance than liners made from Fine silk. However, there may be circumstances where a customer needs to save as much weight as possible and has to buy the lightest equipment available. For this reason we continue to offer a small range of Jags Bags maded from Fine silk. Please don't mis-understand, Jag Bags made from Fine silk are still an excellent product however we think they are best suited to specialist activities (mountaineering, mountain marathons, camping at music festivals). For longer periods of travel or travel to extremes of climate, we recommend Endura Jag Bags
Whichever grade of silk or style of Jag Bag you use you'll quickly come to appreciate the benefits of using a liner.
